Most of us live busy lives and unexpected dental problems rarely come at a good moment. In keeping with our ongoing commitment to our patients, Drs. Friedel and Knoll will do their best to help patients of record as quickly as possible. Depending upon the nature and severity of your emergency we will work with you and that may include a visit outside normal business hours. If your emergency is accompanied by pain, you may be seen by the available dentist, who is not necessarily your regular doctor. As soon as the immediate problem is treated you will receive continuing care from your own doctor of record.
If you are asked to come in immediately you will be seen as soon as possible but that may still mean you have to wait for the staff to be ready. Remember we must respect patients who have scheduled appointments days in advance and we must be able to give you our undivided attention to best diagnose and treat your problem. Rest assured you will be cared for with the same level of professionalism you would expect from us.
If you are not a patient of record we will be happy to help you, but the appointment will be set for the next available day during normal office hours. We are not able to perform the intake of new patients after hours and this office policy is in the mutual best interest of patients and doctors. Please come expecting to fill out a health history and to provide any insurance information should you have coverage. Payment for services is expected at the time services are rendered.
In all cases we will take the time to diagnose the problem and explain to you what options for care you might have. Many emergencies can be treated in a single visit, but if your problem needs multiple visits, you will be scheduled for ongoing care once you have been stabilized and made comfortable.
Obviously no one ever expects a dental problem to occur, but if this happens to you, call us with confidence that care will be provided.
